I would give them a piece of chocolate to eat or hold in their mouth, then tell them to associate that taste with the color brown.

I don't think you can describe brown or any other color because the guy was blind since birth. He never saw color so it would be impossible for him to grasp its meaning. Plus, it is very hard to describe color to someone who has never seen it(like the main character from "The Giver").

Well temperatures always change and not every brown thing smells as great as chocolate :O I dont think you could describe them color. If they were blind since birth they would have no idea of color to begin with, theres nothing they could compare it to.

To a person who has not seen and cannot see trying to describe colors is difficult, I would say impossible. Can they visualise a color when they can't see it? I doubt it.
So, even if you associate a texture or a sound with a color (that is possible), I don't think they will really appreciate shades of color.

Try using another sense, like heat. Brown is warm, blue is cold, red is hot, and green is maybe lukewarm.
