I was just wondering are some of the characters in little britain acted by the same person???

yes, basically they all are. Matt Lucas plays Vicky Pollard, Andy , the Fat Fighters woman, the fat woman at the spa and a few others.
David Walliams plays Sebastien, Lou, the transvestite and others.
