Saint Valentine's Day or Valentine's Day is on February 14. It is the traditional day on which lovers express their love for each other; sending Valentine's cards, candy, or donations to charities, often anonymously. It is very common to present flowers on Valentine's Day. The holiday is named after two men, both Christian martyrs named Valentine. The day became associated with romantic love in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished.
The day is most closely associated with the mutual exchange of love notes in the form of "valentines". Modern Valentine symbols include the heart-shaped outline and the figure of the winged Cupid. Since the 19th century, handwritten notes have largely given way to mass-produced greeting cards. The Greeting Card Association estimates that approximately one billion valentines are sent each year worldwide, making the day the second largest card-sending holiday of the year behind Christmas. The association estimates that women purchase approximately 85 percent of all valentines.

To me the real purpose of V-Day is to spend Fun and Happy Time with your loves ones. Like for example, You and the whole family go out and enjoy a nice movie or go to your favorite amusement park. Have a Nice Picnic Lunch. Or stay at Home and make crafts or have a party. It doesn't matter if your single or not. Just spend time with your love ones and tell them you love them

To sell cards and chocolate and such. I do not feel any more romantic today than any other day. There might be something special happen today for me and my girl, but that is just timing. The relationship is developing and the good things are just starting to happen.

it's a card holiday the stores want to make money so that they can sell all these things and stuff. it's sapost to show you love someone. but i think you should show someone you love the 365 days out of the year instead of just 1. and spend your money on cards and flowers and candy to show them. you can just say baby i love you and you shouldnt do that just 1 day.

For couples to give cheap gifts( flowers that die, candy that makes you fat and cards that are corny) all in the hope of scoring some raunchy, nasty, porno sex later on. Silly huh?
