Fabulous place.
As a touist, with some spending power, fabulous again, especially if you are interested in exploring the local culture and history. That aside, the city itself is a wonderful spectacle and gets more spectacular as time goes by.
Working here is also fabulous IF you can land a well-paid job that includes a villa. Driving can be a problem as the traffic density is very high.
Living here can be arduous during the summer months - hot and humid.
UAE is a very tolerant and open society, with no religious barriers and an acceptance of Western dress standards.
So far, it is also probably the safest country in the region, although neighbouring Oman, Bahrain and Qatar are also (so far) easy-going and safe for foreign nationals.

I live in Dubai and yes its the best place you can think of. You can enjoy the best holiday here if your looking for a holiday destination to visit. Check the sites for attractions in Dubai and a proper site to guide you.

I feel that there is no place in the wolrd that compares to Dubai. Dubai is just incredible - I really suggest going there (and staying at the Royal Mirage)

Dubai is only a good tourist destination, thats all I can tell you. The ads that you see are only to woo people to visit the place.

Been here for 25 years and seen it change from a village to a metro. Inflation has gone through the roof, and rents as well...so yes...if you have a lot of green backs - welcome to Dubai!
