I like my first name but hate my surname. I just like to know people's view on their names. Want to share?

I like my surname but hate my first name my first name is Tara and all thru school kids used to call me "a rat" cause that's what my name spelled backwards is but my surname Roberts is cool and even tho it's common it's not as common as say Jones or Smith.

I like my names the surname comes from the Scottish Clan my ancestors belonged to.

I used to think my first name was weird. (It's quite unusual.) Now I like it because it's easy for my ESL students to pronounce (more or less). I have never had any issues with my surname. (I also used to be kind of bitter that I didn't have a middle name, but I don't mind that now.)

first off why don't you change your surname.
what's in a name as people ask. a name is something that's given to you when you're born. something from your parents, & you go through life with that name. i might not be a name you'd call yourself but it's something significant from your parents.
I love old fashioned names. they hold history just in them- names from back in the viking, saxon times.
you can have any name in this world it's just legally your stuck with your birth name. Also check out this website. i really like my first name and my middle name. i used to like my surname but i am now going to get it changed because my dad was a bampot.

I like all my names. My surname in Chinese means 'King' and my name means 'abundance of intelligence/talents' or you can also translate it to mean 'being outstanding'.
