If this trade does got through, it can benifit the Lakers. Of course, we all know Kidd is 34 years old, and won't be around much longer, but there is a positive. If this trade doesn't involve Jordan Farmar, then he has someone to grow on. Farmar has a bright future, but just needs that guidence from someone with much experience in the point guard position, and that'll allow him to grow. He is putting up reasonable numbers and I would hate to see him go.

What are your opinions on Farmars name being mentioned in the trade?

Who do you suggest should be involved in the trade?

In order for the Lakers to make this trade, they would need to trade about 6 players just to make it work under the salary cap. It could be something like Williams, Radman, Cook, McKie, Parker, and Mihm for Kidd, and the Nets would have to waive 6 players to make the trade. Some draft picks would have to be involved, since if the Nets are looking to trade Kidd, they'll want to rebuild with the draft.

I don't think it's going to happen. The Lakers have already said to other teams looking to make trades with them that they won't trade Bynum. I don't like Farmar being mentioned because the Lakers are supposed to be building for the future. Trading him away for a player who maybe has another two years left to his career and is begining to be plagued by injury isn't really a smart move.

I don't see Phil Jackson making any changes to the triangle offense to accomodate Kidd. He wouldn't do it for Gary Payton, and you can't know how well, if at all, Jason Kidd could adjust to the triangle. Making the trade would hurt the Lakers more than it helps if Kidd doesn't fit into the offense. That's the main reason why the Lakers under Phil Jackson just don't make midseason trades.

I would hope that the Lakers not make this trade. They really need a player who can help with their defense in the post. They should look to trade players like Cook, Radman, WIlliams and McKie for a solid defensive big.

If Farmar isn't involved they're gonna get Bynum... and I wouldn't do it if I were the nets UNLESS Bynum was packaged, really, along with Farmar... annnnd 1st rounders... Kidd is till arguably the top 2 point guard in the league... and definitely in the top 5. If he had more guys to throw to, he might BE better than nash. He's got competition from the little frenchie and Chauncey Billups.

i actually like that commerce, won't be able to assert I tell that to human beings too many times making use of this commerce device. The Lakers get a sturdy aspect guard to push the speed and get the ball to Kobe and also Kidd might want to easily make Bynum sensible in L.A. And the Nets get a sturdy 3-aspect shooter, an particularly sturdy versatile participant in Odom, and then even as trading Kidd might want to look like backcourt suicide, a Farmar-Marcus Williams blend does no longer be too undesirable at the same time with of Vinsanity. sturdy commerce, has skill.

This trade will probably not go through. Sure it will be good for the Lakers but it won't be so good for theNets and that's why it probably won't happen. The Nets probably aren't willing to throw in the towel yet the way the east is so wide open. With a lot of luck, they could go pretty far in the playoffs.

Who cares. The triange needs a good center, Like Yao or somebody like that. Bynum is going to be great in a few years and should be untouchable because of the Lakers interest in him. Kidds game is not good for that O.....
