in answer to your question, it's cause they're in a retail job where most of their entertainment is making fun of their more awkward customers. Not sure where you are from, but where I live that wouldn't happen. What people think really is not important, what you think and feel is. No matter where you go or what you do someone will always raise an eyebrow or appear judgemental. Enjoy and be comfortable with yourself. You have every right to buy what you want when you want. You do not owe anyone an explanation. Just think to yourself that they are having trouble with their hemorrhoids and shop 'till you drop!
