Hey there
I live in the middle east, and yes there are a lot of fillipino nurses some are really sweet and they are really good at their job to but some are really cold and could use a smile and a nice word form time to time. And i really appreciate the word they do.

I personally am not crazy about them, but I have yet to have a positive experience with them. My father is a surgical nurse, and I was recently in the hospital for appendicitis. The filipino nurses working at the county hospital here are not very smart or nice. During my stay in the hospital they were the worst of my nurses. One couldn't even take my bp and had to get another nurse to help her. I think also, when you are hospitalized, sick, scared, etc, it's a little unnerving when your nurse comes in and doesn't speak english. Especially when you are having severe pain and swelling issues as I did. I had one come into my room and get frustrated with me because I tried to tell her what was going on, and she couldn't understand me. She finally just left. I had to walk down to the nurses station and get help. Then it ended up being a serious issue that needed immediate attention. Thankfully I knew enough to get help on my own, no thanks to the Filipino nurse that left me there. There may be good ones somewhere, I have never encountered one though.

I work with two Filipino nurses and they are smart as a whip. They are kind and I like them very much. If I was in trouble I would want them to be my nurses.
I'm an American Multi Task worker (as I am now called because I work EMS, ER and heart floor) who knows a good nurse and a good doctor when I see one.

That's funny you ask that. One of my good friends (who is Filipino) and his wife (also Filipino) is a Nurse. She's amazing. I live in Arlington, Texas, United States - and from what I know she enjoys her job very much. Long hours, but good work.
Really - for the most-part race is not an issue when it comes to occupation in the U.S. There are those racist crazies still running amok - but we they'll die off eventually in the next generation or two.

They re terrible . I worked with them in California . They re like a mafia . Speak their language on the floor where it s post not to,money hungry that why they re nurse. No passion at all for people of other cultures . $$$ driving the Mercedes and walking around showing off their LV purses are all I see , oh yea forgot to mention , how much they re going get when they retire. No bedside manner at all. I reported so many nurses that I saw mistreating patient . My son wife is just like them ..
