Some people have overactive sweat glands that make their hands, feet or sometimes face sweat excessively. My mother has this problem with her hands sweating. She doesn't sweat on any other part of her body. I know someone else who sweats excessively on their face when they are not even doing anything, just sitting around ,etc. Your baby may just have overactive sweat glands in the feet.

There could be any number of reasons. First they're too warm?
Blood sugar can do that but it would cause sweating all over.
My youngest son who is now 12 used to sweat on the bridge of his nose.

All growing up, my feet were the most sweaty part of my body. My grandfather had sweaty feet and I guess his father before him. I did grow out of it when I was about thirteen. I had several friends, though, that had extremely sweaty palms. I'd rather have sweaty feet, personally. It's probably just something genetic that he'll either grow out of or learn to live with. Maybe mention it to his doctor at his next well-baby check up. Should be coming up soon, right?

He could be overheating... People tend to over-bundle their babies. My 5 month old son occasionally sweats on his head and feet, so I just take his socks off or put him in lighter clothing...
