where should i start? what should i do? i dont know anyone who is bi or lesbian. i am 18 and live in northern indiana.

Been there; done that.
I grew up in Mpls, Minn. I went through the same thing when I was 19 - really, really wanting to and not knowing how to make it happen. It was really hard finding out where to go and actually getting enough courage to meet women. It took me the better part of a year to get a girlfriend. The best thing was joining a softball team. If you're athletically inclined, try to find a fast pitch league. Even if you're not, when warm weather comes, go watch. Find out where they go afterwards for beer and pizza.
If you're a student, there may be a gay-straight student alliance. Even if you aren't a student, you can show up at a meeting. No one would know you weren't a student. Once you meet a few lesbians, you can find out where the action is.

Well, being that you're too young to go to the bars and clubs, it looks like you're destined for the time being to find potential female companionship in other ways.
Thank goodness for the internet i say!!
Definitely myspace, chat rooms, Y!answers could all be potential conduits for finding your elusive first.
I'm a brit (older than you) but i found my now-wife in a chat-room online, and she was living in Indiana at the time (3 years ago). She's now living here in the UK with me, and we got married last year! ..just goes to show you can find love where you least expect it.
Anyways, if there really isn't any 'scene' near you for people in your age group, then you'll either have to try to meet other girls online or get out there and expand your social circle, you're bound to meet a kindred spirit sooner or later (hopefully sooner). You can't force someone into your life, but you can make steps to facilitate it happening.

Check out the on-line clubs in your area and go from there. And its just like any other club u go to. U still have to follow club rules. Ex. Don't put your drink down and turn your back. Don't accept drinks from anyone unless u watching it being prepared. And don't fall for the "oh this is my brother hanging with me", its probably a couple looking to have a three-some. Have fun. O(

For One, I am 19 years old.
And just be honest to people.
Get a myspace for one thing.
And Im pretty sure you can find people in your area to just chat with.
Dont do non of that online hook up thing because man I dont want you hookin up withe the weirdos.
But honestly. Being bi-curious is not a bad thing. First step, just be honest about it.

Well follow your feelings. I am married to my wife I hate putting names on different sexuality it's all normal be true to yourself.
I bet it is a bit different in your culture, but im sure your not the only girl not to be attracted to men.

Lexington, KY has a great dyke scene, but that's pretty far. Anywhere with a college (as long as it's not a religious one) will have a queer scene, however small. Pretty much all secualar colleges have a campus GLBT group.

Since you are 18, you may be in college where several young girls must also be studying. You can plan a programme of going to a movie or for lunch and invite one or two girls, whom you admire. Believe me, I was also of your nature when I was young. I am now 58.

should start going to a gay club and getting to know some people and dancing with them, find one that you like, see what happens and maybe it could lead to a relationship

I heard on the net the otherday that two lesbians wanted to have a baby together through a male friend. THATS THE SICKEST THING IVE EVER HEARD OF! Really queer!

there is nothing you should do just let it flow. you can find gf through club, school, friends' friend, or internet. goodluck ;)
