Make four, and if the baby eats it, more power to him. A little extra formula won't hurt him, and if he eats it, it is because he is HUNGRY. If not, just pour the excess down the sink.

Just use the scooper and make one scoop with 2 oz and then fill the scooper only half way up a second time to make 3 oz. Don't worry if it's not exact, it will be just fine.
But speaking from experience, (I have twin infant boys), one thought is you could save yourself some time and make two bottles at one time. Make one bottle with 3 scoops of formula (add this to 6 oz of water). Shake the bottle up. Then pour half of this into another bottle for later.
The formula will stay good for up to 24 hours (check the label to be sure). This way you'll always have a bottle ready to go! And your baby will start eating more than 3 oz pretty soon so it will be good to have on hand.
You can also refrigerate unused portions for an hour or two (check your formula's label).
Soon your baby will be eating a lot more than 3 oz and you won't believe how much they can eat!
Good luck!

Hello
I am a first time mom as well. My daughter was on 3 oz of formula as well. Are you using powder? If you are
1. Fill the bottle to the 3 oz line.
2. Put one scoop of formula in the bottle.
3. Put 1/2 scoop of formula in the bottle. (It does not have to be precise)
IReading the instrctions it states that the formula is not good after
one hour. I don't know how true that is but my sister puts it in the fridge if her baby is not done but makes sure she uses it in the next couple of hours. I personally just threw mine out after a hour. I did not want to premake bottles and let the formula sit. Just picky that way but I know I avoided posible upset stomach.

Not difficult.. if the directions tell you how to make that....figure out how much water is added per ounce and you should be able to figure out from there.
If you don't know how to do that, look at the amount of water that is supposed to be added for 2 oz and divide that by two...that will tell you how much water to add per ounce....multiply that by 3 and there ya go...
Also as a heads up....if the baby takes a little more than 3 oz...then they do....nothing will happen to them. Just make a 4 oz bottle and dispose of the remainder...or if your baby drinks it all, then he/she does.

u cud make up 4 oz and take it away when he has finshed up to 3 oz. But for making formula milk it is 1fl oz cooled boiled water to 1 scoop of milk which is provided in the container. Also if you buy the ready liquid formuls milk you just need to fill it to 3 oz level :)

on the baby bottle there should be lines saying 1oz, 2oz ect. fill the bottle to the 3oz line with water from the kettle (boli the water first and let it cool down) then add 3 exact scoops of the milk formula, put the cap back on and shake, it should be 1 scoop to 1oz of water (just check on your bottle first that it is in oz, it is like that here in england so i guess it should be the same where you are) hope this helps

Easy, find out on the instructions how many scoops and how much water for 2 ounces and for 4 ounces. Split the difference for 3 ounces.
oz=ounces, by the way.
So, if it's 1 scoop and 50 ml of water for the baby's formula, that's roughly 2 ounces of formula. Logically, it would be 1.5 scoops and 75 ml of water for 3 ounces. One ounce is roughly 28 ml of water.
