When I was a boy in the 50's we enjoyed childhood, we didn't even think of political correctness, we used to play without the crazy guidlines of 'Health and Safety' playgrounds were a wonderful place.

Books were not politically correct, I had a gollywog which caused no comments about it being a different colour !!

What has this stupid Government done to make helping or speaking to people or wearing of different clothes such a criminal act.

How we worry about being PC when most of the world does not give two hoots about being PC

One problem with the English is ...they will stand for the three card trick and do nothing......if Islam invaded us we would fight to the last...but if they come one at a time then that's OK and we have to treat 'em right and give 'em benefits because.....well I really don't know why we have to to tell the truth.

It's getting f*****g ridiculous. We have a very stuck up media that proliferate such nonsense e.g. Guardian and BBC who tend to be the choice of read for politicians and civil servants. Problem is too is that people are always playing the victim card. If they feel hard done by they will complain or protest on the grounds of disability, race, religion etc, because they know this government encourages it and it will listen to the most ridiculous, inaccurate nonsense just to score brownie points with certain minority groups.

If it makes you feel better, it's the same in other countries in Europe. In Germany, some problems are very much the same, e.g. immigrants who don't integrate or learn the language. For years this has been a taboo, but like in the UK things are slowly changing due to public pressure.

But the scariest thing is that it's not just the government, judging by the amount of violation notices on here from people, who just can't take the British sense of humour.

It's getting beyond a joke. The nanny state is stopping kids from having any fun growing up and treating the rest of us like idiots and the bloody p.c brigade is causing a hell of a lot more trouble and division in society than good. In fact it's probably doing a better job than the Muslim extremists and BNP together.
How the hell we reverse all this i don't know, but we need to do something. Enough is enough.

I Agree. When I was a nipper nothing mattered! Now they stop everything. At my friends son's school they are not allowed to hand out valentines cards as it will upset the children who don't get one?! and I heard on the news that some schools are not allowing the children to make Mothers Days cards as it will upset the children without a mother?! This country is becoming one big joke.

Don't get me started have you got all day!, this country is going to the dogs or perhaps I mean Immigrants ( legal or not) and that's just one of the few problems here.
I feel we are penalised if we protect our property, penalised if we earn too much money, penalised if we then buy the large family car we paid honestly for, penalised for driving on certain roads, penalised if our children study too hard and want to continue education in University, it seems you can't talk to anyone who may slightly different from you for fear of offending them (PC correct).
The Government of this country have a lot to answer for!!!!!!!!!!

The world has gone mad...... remember Myra hindly and Ian Brady? of course everybody does, they committed terrible crimes and spent their whole life in jail, back then life meant life..... now most get a slap on the wrist or do a couple of years.I had a golly wog too, mojo.......he was on all the jam jars...golly wogs are no more...... disabled people are no longer disabled, although they are not able to do certain things for themselves..... I honestly think the world has gone stark raving mad.
I blame it on, who do I blame it on? I just don't know. All I know is, its a mad and frightening world out there.

Blame the dominance of America - their culture is basically ours only about 3 or 4 years ahead. because of america, you can get sued for just about anything possible, so the government is obliged to inflict PC and health and safety rules on us.

ahh. the affects of civlization....the genteel society. doesn't do any good when the chips are down. too bad not many pepole realize that personal responsiblity, and practical skills are the way to be.

This country has become too "sensitive" and concerned about "feelings" I feel we became a State of Sesame Street.
