For those that have issues with spontaneous displays of affection, a nice scheduled day where it is expected for one to get a little silly, sentimental and soppy, it's a great day.
Yes, it is a materialistic display of consumerism, yes the card and candy manufacturers conspired to make the American version of the day, yes it is silly and soppy, and sentimental, and does not have a lot of real or deep meaning.
But sit alone at home without getting so much as a card, and see how important it becomes to you then!
And thank you, I will work nights tonight, I will be sleeping the rest of today.
And yes, everyday should be treasured when you love someone.

No, I dont fairly fee in trouble-free words in the present day. For me existence is tremendous even as time-honored is Valentine's day and the affection is prolonged to really everyone round you (why purely one individual of the option sex whom you've an affair with) besides, huge deal has been made out (a ploy through greeting card sellers and novelty manufacturers to promote their wares) fans and love existed even previously those practices got here into being

Sir, Each day is valuable not because there is someone you love be it anyone and any named or unnamed relation but because it gives person a chance to explore oneself and the creation of God. This day is valuable because it is memorable for long back they say Saint valentine was beheaded because he favoured those who want to be together. This is a day when that noble soul should be remembered and those who have heart and mind should vow to make this world beyond bars of caste, colour, creed, racism etc. This is a day which teaches to fight with the system which bounds the personal independence of feeling of being together with people of ones choice, even if costs life. So personally, I don't feel wrong seeing people together expressing themselves and I respect as much as I respect the day of independence of any country.

yes i value valentines day, but i value every day of the year, and my life time. For you never know when the Lord is going to take back the person, or persons that he has given you on loan, so you should value them every day of evey year, cause you never know when they will be gone. So make the most of each day.

No. It is just ordinary day. Businessmen have made every day as special day to sell goods/services, to boost their sale. Diwali is personal festival. Businessmen have made it festivals of sweets, of gifts, of firework, of candle, of light, of worship, of decoration, of give and take etc.
Every day is special. I work on all days. I am happy or sad on all days. Special days are necessary for special purpose, to remember something. You may clean your car on Car cleaning day.
