Nothing should come between a guy and a game, especially with his mates. Tell your girlfriend Valentines day is cancelled this year.

Is it her birthday and you've forgotten you were taking her out for dinner? Or some other important event? If the answer is "yes", perhaps she is justified. But if, as I suspect from the way you have worded this, the answer is "no", it seems something of an over-reaction. Perhaps she has nothing else to do and is annoyed that she will not have your company? It certainly looks rather intolerant to be 'livid', after all, why shouldn't you spend time with your friends?

If it is the first reaction like this, why not make some special arrangement with her for the weekend to show that you care?

But be wary of this type of jealousy, repeat performances of this sort can become very claustrophobic.

-Good luck to both of you and good luck to the Gunners!

Woops! You see, I've made the same mistake! -Forgetting it's Valentine's Day! Oh dear… Special treat for the weekend will be vital now that I think of it…

O my well which is the one you wont in the future I am sure you can find some time for your girl friend I hope the match is not at arosal as that will be a pain for me and more so for my son. if you must watch the match find some thing special to do with your girl friend before hand.

It's my understanding a football match is only 90 minutes, so why couldn't see do something nice for her later on after the match? Then everyone is a winner.

Its only a game of football your girlfriend should be more important, than some guy's kicking a bag of air around a field.

Well you can enclude her if she will join you, other wise you have done the most you can for now, since you two have not been together longer, then for you it may still mean that you have to watch this with your mates.

duh. did you have to tell her ? u could have said, i have to go shopping after work to find you the perfect present (which you will have actually already bought...)
then when you turn up woth whatever it is, she thinks you have made that extra special effort and everones a winner!!
(stinkiing of booze will blow your cover- drink vodka instead of beer...) ... out of interest, would you have minded if she said she had to go shopping with her best mate ? If not, then you have nothing to worry bout.

If you do it, you will certainly get things in perspective for her. And if she stays..... then I will be glad for you.
