If you dont want a first edition, you can pick up a very nice 2006 edition from Abebooks with the ISBN number below quite cheap. Including delivery I paid £80.00 which is a lot better than the £200 plus people are selling it for on Ebay and Amazon
Codex Seraphinianus. (ISBN: 8817013897)
Serafini, Luigi
Price: US $101.59

Paul,

This book is amazing! It reminds me of a modern versions of the Voynich Manuscript or the Hypnerotomachia Poliphili. Since most of Codex Seraphinianus is written in an unknown and invented language, tricky to impossible to translate it. The false writing system appears modelled on ordinary Western-style writing systems (left-to-right writing in rows; an alphabet with uppercase and lowercase letters, some of which double as numerals) but is much more curvilinear, not unlike cursive Georgian in appearance. Some letters appear only at the beginning or at the end of words, a feature shared with Semitic writing systems. The language of the codex has defied complete analysis by linguists for decades. The number system used for numbering the pages, however, has been cracked by Allan C. Wechsler, among others.

A single-volume edition was published by Abbeville Press in the U.S.
(1st American edition, New York: Abbeville Press, 1983, 250 pp., ISBN 0-89659-428-9)
For a mere $395 you can order a copy:

Got to go. I need to book a ticket to Serafini. Reading about it is exciting, but there is nothing like going there in person.

Codex Seraphinianus is a rare and expensive book, it can be ordered from Amazon.com. If you want to see the Codex without paying that much, try your local library. University libraries should have it. The Library of Congress number is PN6381.S4 1983.
