Both are very high quality products and worth every penny.
Louis Vuitton is less trendy than Prada, and will probably be still as valuable (if not more in some cases) years from now.
While Prada styles changes several times a year, you can still find a subtle classic purse that will not flash at everyone. If you are looking for flashy and attention grabbing purse, than LV will do it.

if youre going with ready-to-wear, i think prada is more trendsetting, so if you want the it clothing before everyone else has it, prada is your best bet

louis vuitton is more recognized as a handbag maker/ luggage maker, so it has a better history. but it also has its logo emblazoned everywhere, so i think its somewhat crass (especially with all the canal street reproductions floating about). if you want something a little more discreet, try prada instead as i think its more chic looking anyway (or my favorite, bottega veneta).

i guess im more of a prada person than a louis vuitton.

Go with Prada....Louis Vuitton is kinda over. Prada is timeless.

I am a huge fan of Prada - I even named my yorkie Prada!

Here's the deal - if you are looking to show off an expensive purse, LV's are the better choice. If you are looking for something that is a little more understated but true fashionistas will recognize immediately, go Prada!

I have both, but my Prada bags are used way more.
