We've been going through a really rough time and he has really stepped up to the plate. What can I do to show him that I appreciate him?

do something that he likes and you dont, just to show him that you care.
make him his favorite meal
write him a love letter/poem.
buy him something you really didnt want him to spend money on.
do something completely out of character that shows you respect him and love him, even though you dont agree.
you'll shock him and create a memory that will always remind him that you love him, even in the roughest of times.

Get the bathroom ready with candles, nice soft towels and wine. Run a bath when he comes in, and bath him. Serve him his favorite dinner and sit and cuddle him. Hug him often and tell him "I love you" as much as you can. Put some flowers or even petals on the bed (make it real romantic - just like you would like it!) Write him a note telling him how much you love and appreciate him, even though you don't always tell him. Cuddle up on the couch if he wants to watch TV (personally, I wouldn't even put the telly on!) and sip wine together. Then off to bed and make his (and your) world rock! Maybe even give him a nice massage before bed, and then do all the things HE loves having done to him. Enjoy Hon!

Make a special dinner & his favorite dessert. Some guys like it when they get flowers & lil loving stuffed animals, etc, too. Special cards are always thoughtful. What does he like to do? Do you guys like to play any games, is there a type of movie you can rent or buy him that just came out that's his type? How about some massage oil? Happy Valentine's Day!

Tell him & do something different to the norm.
Get a bit of spice back into your relationship & tell him that you really love him & want your lives to change for the better.
Both may have to make some sacrifices.
The stairs, kitchen, chandelier or bathroom may be a good place to start.

Clean the room nicely, set up three groupings of candles, and give him a three-hour massage, touching every inch of his entire body.

Cook a great dinner of his favorite food. Watch whatever he wants on tv and then show your gratitude at bedtime. This would show me how much I am appreciated but every guy is different.

Strawberries, whipped cream, ice, candle wax.....and notes that lead from the do to a diverse position and tell him to p.c.. up each and each and every of the products and the most suitable one telling him to fulfill you outside someplace.

tell him what he has been doing that has been good. tell him that he's an amazing man and that you'll do anything to please him back. give him a back rub and go down south, trust me.
