It is disturbing to see the ayatollah's are having time of their lives. The only thing iraq prime minster hasn't done is to french kiss ahmedinejad! They are iran's *****. Billions of money went to iraq and many US soldiers died for ayatollahs to get together? What do you think?

When it is all done it will have cost us upwards of a trillion dollars, 5-10,000 US lives and 40-50,000 wounded, and 600,000-1 million Iraqi deaths, millions homeless, the country in rubble, no govt., little electricity, water, heat, and food. We went into the wrong neighborhood to try to have our way. Most of Iraqis are Shias, as are most of Iran. They are natural allies, and it was only Saddam, backed by Bush Sr. and the US, that controlled Iraq with the Suni minority and attacked Iran. Now that he is gone, we have paved the way for the two countries to get closer.
The longer we stay the more it will cost us, and the outcome is very much in doubt.
Did we really do all this to control the oil, or was it perhaps to secure Jerusalem for the "end game" of Armageddon?

"Billions to Iraq...?" There's no proof. As of the link between Iraq and Iran, Iran is a Shia state. Iraq's Shia population is 80% of the Iraqi population, clearly the majority. The US is in the midst of sectarian violence--a religious civil war. They do not share our culture or our way of life. It would be like having Iran in Mexico, if Mexico was embroiled in a relgious civil war. How would the US feel to have Iranian forces in Mexico? Iran feels the same way with US troops next door. The Shias were slaughtered by Saddam and had no power for 35 years. 80% majority was shut out of decision-making & representation. Marriage or no marriage is not our concern. Iraq can ally themselves with their common links and Iran. The US is the odd country out. Sorry, it's time to come home.

I think you have it a little too cosy. Remember they had war with eich other for eight years.
They are neighbors and if there is going to ever bee any stability around that area then the nations will have to get along to some drgree. Itan will change soon because even the religious leaders are getting upset with the big mouth president.

So much more involved than nearly all of you would even want to think about.

I use to feel the same at first and thought a little more about it, conclusion.......Iraq will have to test the waters at some time, after all they will be the ones most affected. By any poor judgement made on their part, so F it!
