Please could anyone help me on this, i am planning to re format the hard disc on my computer. I realise i will loose all the information on the hard disc but does that apply to email and the internet security that's installed, if so would i have to download the security at my own expense, also would i have to renew my subscription to outlook express.
Thank you to everybody who may help on this.

what a lot of people dont seem to get about formatting (no offence) is that when you format, EVERYTHING on your PC is gone for ever.

the drivers, music, games, documents, norton, etc etc......

. You will have to reinstall everything. the only thing you will have is a blank windows. there wont even be any icons when you first start up.

only do it if you know what youre doing

p.s. youre internet email like yahoo, msn etc... will be fine as the info is stored on the internet and not youre pc.

If you Re-format the hard drive you Lose Everything period. Any software you installed is gone. If you paid for software you downloaded from the Web, save your registration information and any Keys you might have purchased. Most Good programs allow another download if you have your Key/Purchase Info. I recommend you burn any program you want to keep to a DVD or CD.

Why are you re-formating your harddrive?

I'm a computer technician but I kind of curious about your decision.

Formating can be done in the command prompt when the Windows is not running.

when you re-format you lose EVERYTHING - Backup you outlook express first (go to tools and export and export your messages and address Book)

You can get free security Software

AVG Free Virus and AVG Free Spyware Software so you never need to pay for it

if it's part of norton, no. if you paid for the copy online you have to. but for outlook express, it doesn't get uninstalled even if you do reformat hard disk. unless if you uninstall it your self you'll be fine

yes! watchout, you will wipe off everything from your drives. You should get a tech to help you back everything up.
