Bluetooth provides a way to connect and exchange information between devices such as mobile phones, laptops, PCs, printers, digital cameras and video game consoles via a secure, globally unlicensed short-range radio frequency.
You can also use Bluetooth, to talk on your cellphone, via an ear piece. The cellphone sends the information (or your conversation through "short-range radio frequencies" to your ear piece, so you can talk to someone without using your hands.

Really great technology, also most new laptops are blue-tooth compatible.
