We DO have the tech. It's simply a matter of building the infrastructure. How long did that take cell phone companies? Duke is a cute community school.

We have to demand (votes) that political leaders encourage us to
develop alternative energy. It won't be a single source but many.
The greedy who suppress alternatives must be identified and
humiliated into stopping theft of oil from third world countries
(middle east). Development of alternative energies will turn our
western economies from debt into surplus and give us our jobs
back as well as saving the planet and us from polution. If we
developed technology to go to the moon ------ you are able to
finish what I have been saying!!!!!

greed! politicians , or those that make the decisions earn millions of dollars/pounds/euros from the exploitation of oil resources. hence their tendency to suppress or delay any research that could avail the world, especially the poor in the third world, alternative sources of energy. this is why countries like iraq are attacked in broad daylight for WMD that never were!

And where did you get the idea that 'we have the tech not to' - let alone that we have sufficient *supply* by such means, *and* that it would be economically viable? Methinks you have much ignorance to overcome, which might start with *NOT* taking your 'science' from someone who flunked out of divinity school.
