My friend just IMed me and said she got her first kiss and was expecting it to be good and everything she wanted it to be, but it was a let down. she likes the relationship she's in but... now what?

no, guys, i mean she was let down in the way she expected sparks to fly and crap. i told her practice makes perfect.

Tell her to not give up too soon. It's rare that people actually experience their first kiss and have it be all that they expected it to be. This also applies to people who are dating someone new.
If your friend really likes this guy, then tell her to just talk to him. He's more than likely going to want to try and please her rather than not care. If the guy is being too rough, or using too much tongue, there is nothing wrong with your friend telling him that she thinks he's doing whatever a bit too much or maybe not enough.
It would be a shame if she gave up on the guy over a kissing mishap when chances are, things will sort themself out. Tell her to just lead the way and show the guy what it is she's wanting!

was it truly a bad kiss or were her expectations unrealistic, not many people can live up to fairytail/soap opera romances.
