Yes, because Obama hasnt the slightest clue what war is like, or the suffering of a soldier who will give up his life WITH PAIN, to save us all! He is clueless, and every word he speaks about our wonderful soldier's is a damn LIE. Will I get reported for saying he is a dip-****? I'll take the chance. He is a dip-****.

No, Kerry's comments are by far the worst. What he said was not meant as a joke, he just figured that he could get away with it, and when he found that he couldn't, he just did what he always does, and tried to lie his way out of it. He has said WAY too much already for too long. He is nothing but a pompous, hypocritical, self important, phony, lying, egomaniac and needs to get out of politics and move to another country. (how about France?). Obama lacks experience, that is one of the reasons that Obama shouldn't be taken seriously as a candidate. Anyone running for public office needs to be very careful what they say, ESPECIALLY regarding the brave men and women who serve in our military. The great majority of us treasure our military, past and present and the sacrifices they have made. Be careful what you say, it comes back to haunt you.

Both are not jokes and they are not funny at all! Obama is very inexperienced and he will make mistakes along the way. So let us not be too critical if he means well? We all have slips of the tongue at times. However Kerry is a moron! Obama still has a lot to learn, and he is over zealous and very opinionated about things in his short life time that he has really no hands on knowledge because of age. With Age comes wisdom, give him 10 years and then let us see what he turns out to be? Friend or Foe?

"Wasted lives" is another way of saying that the Iraqi War is useless, all basis for fighting was either propped up lies, faulty intelligence, & really not worth the $600 billion already spent for a country in civil war. Why waste a life for an unworthy cause? Saddam is out. Iraq has their elected government. We have finished our jobs. Any one who becomes a victim or casualty of war is "wasted" because the war itself is finished as far as the US role is concerned. There is no comparison to Kerry's botched and tasteless joke. As for "wasted lives" the blood of those victims will be on the hands of Bush/Cheney for imprinted in US history. Lives are too precious to make them expendible for the sake of an arrogant president's legacy.

Kerry was in the Vietnam war and so was I. He is a disgrace to his country and will always be.
Any time someone make mockery of those giving their lives for this country and the freedoms they are fighting for and someone make a remark that their lives have been or is wasted is a little off the beaten path.
I hope this has been of some use to you, good luck.

I'm not familiar with that comment, but I'm sure you took it out of context. Don't waste your time with character assassinations. We've all caught on to that by now.

I think so, he said they died in vain? He didn't say they died for their country. also to me it seems like he meant they died for nothing.
It's sad but that is war, But you still are heroic and died for your country!
