Gosh arent' Americans brainwashed ?

We sure are smart, but we're suckers when it comes to following the herd. We should all boycott these dumb holidays, and tell the flower and candy shops to stick it !
They are basically laughing at people as they walk out of their stores saying "that dummy just paid double for a dozen roses" . Don't think they aren't laughing at all of you.
I think it's time for America to finally wake the hell up. Look at what the insurance companies down in Florida are doing to those poor people. They kick them when they are down from the storms because they feel they got you "by the balls". When will people stop seeing everything in black and white, and stop being such a damn sheep.

My buddy said today "this is what you do on valentines day" referring to getting milked for $65 for roses that will be dead in 3 days, what an idiot ! Another case of a brainwashed person who bough into the belief that this is "what you have to do" LOLOL. I just don't get it people.

Wow, you really hate V-day, doncha? Some ppl like showing their affection in simple ways. I am good with a card, and a single yellow rose. Candy, is ok I guess!!! My husband and I show each other how much we care year round. So, I dont really find Valentines day to be much different. Maybe you should step away from the keyboard at this point!!! I think you may explode if not.

The Great American Marketing Machine has truly and rightfully brainwashed much of the US population into buying stuff we don't need - and this is no more true than on "holidays" like Valentines Day!!! I agree with you 100%

Yes, I generally agree with you. However, by now you know you're right. Therefore, perhaps you need not be so angry-sounding about it. I used to get angry too because I felt that my feelings were rare. As you can see, though, many people are agreeing with you ... and I am, too. I was just saying earlier today that our TV commercials are so cleverly made, they can make most people (not you or me) think that you NEED something that you really don't.

properly your theories look more beneficial like rants than theories. have not met anybody that grow to be brainwashed through some thing that grow to be on the radio. opposite to what you would imagine, people are not any further senseless zombies that want to take heed to communicate radio to get their each and on a daily basis marching orders. many people can imagine for ourselves, and nonetheless take heed to communicate radio, baseball video games, or different wearing activities we weren't waiting to attend.

ya, I don't get it. I told my boyfriend not to give me flowers. He is cooking me dinner instead - and I don't even really care about VDay but it was something he had been wanting to do for a while and it just happened to be a good day.

yes there are places with cheaper roses and they are nice down here in texas we have them at grocery stores and they are minimal prices. i agree with you but no one will do ths will they? theyw ould rather spend and spend. well me and hubby have stopped we buy floers now and then when they are cheaper.
