Get references from other people, {preferably in the medical field, if possible}. It is becoming more common that MD's forgo malpractice insurance. The premiums are getting way out of line.{to the tune of over $100,000/yr for a general surgeon.} It does not mean a Doc w/o insurance is a bad one.

I*m assuming you mean YOU have no insurance, not the Dr.
I would just call around to a few doctors and ask the price for doing what you want.
My husband had his ears cleaned out but unfortunately he is on Medicare so it didn*t cost us, and as yet we haven*t received the notice from Medicare telling us what they paid for the visit.
Hope this helps.

There should be solutions they sell at corner drugstores for cleansing the ear canal, it's probably going to be unpleasant since it is tied to your sinuses. You may want to ask the pharmacist if there is one, about OTC ear infection solutions and if that will help if you cannot find a product for wax specifically.

I would insist on a Doctor having insurance if they were working on me. But maybe I'm just careful.

Check out the local hospitals, and see if they have a clinic associated with them, and it is usually very cheap. I know we have one in our local hospital, and it goes with what you earn, but the most they can charge is 35 dollars, I know a lot of people have been satisfied.
