once a heartbeat is found the risk does go down, but it will significantly after the first trimester. (around 13 weeks)

Unfortunately this doesn't really affect your risk of miscarrige, although it is a good sign. There could still be problems with any of the major organs that develop over the next few weeks.
Try not to worry though! You are past the 8 week mark and a lot of miscarriages happen in the first 8 weeks.

Generally the risk of miscarriage goes down after the first trimester which is 12 weeks or 3 months pregnant..Things can still happen though..
Good Luck and I hope you have a great pregnancy!

I hate to say it but there is always a risk at any point but your chances lower after the first few months. Take care of yourself and thats half the battle anything else that can go wrong is pretty much out of your hands. Its a helpless feeling I know but as long as you take care of your self your chance your baby will be born healthy will be really good. Congrats on being prego and I am sure you and your baby will be fine

sorry, miscarriage is not as common after the first trimester, but it is a possibility until delivery. although after a certain age it is called a stillborn and must be buried. a good strong heartbeat is a good sign. but not too fast... it could be struggling for air. just eat right dont drink alcohol or take drugs dont take aspirin, just take good care of yourself and avoid stress. all should be fine. Congrats ! p.s. stay away from salt too, ya get enough in processed food. and take your prenatal vitamins faithfully
