Even though Kevin Jones is going to be out half the season, I think the Lions will take Jamal Branch or Joe Thomas. It's about time that the Lions figure out that you win and lose football games along the lines.

Kevin Jones expects to be back by training camp. The first report was that he had the same injury Lion linebacker teddy lehman had which is true and lehman missed most of the year with, but what the report neglected to say was that teddy didn't have the surgery right away, Kevin Jones has already had the surgery for the injury. And is recovering now. And has said it doesn't matter who they bring in he will win his position, so I'd say no only for the reason that they need an offensive or defensive lineman before running back. Yet with mike martz still with the team I could see them drafting Calvin Johnson, martz has already said he wants more speed on offense from WR and RB positions.

I think any player they draft is fine at number 2 as long as they get them to play to their ability people get focused on the wrong things when it comes to the draft. they say no wr because only 1 of the last 3 worked out, but that's the wrong way to look at things it's obvious charles rogers had a problem. and mike williams is having a problem with getting his weight down. I think Reggie Bush is a rb you take number 2, adrian peterson is a top 10 back no doubt, it just sounds like the lions would be better off trading down if they really want him. I say if you have the number 2 pick take the best player on the board that will fit your needs and move on. And if it doesn't work out. FIRE MILLEN!

Peterson continues to be the proper RB in the draft. If Detroit can get him, they ought to. Kevin Jones is only too inconsistent, or perhaps as he's healthful, Peterson is unstoppable. i imagine Quinn will slip in the draft, and someone will take Russell early. His actual attributes will be too a lot to pass up. Kitna is more desirable sensible at the moment than Jones, so i imagine a larger want is RB.

Joe Thomas should be a lock but they also need D-Line so maybe a trade for a later 1st round and 2nd round. I do know one thing though if they draft another wide receiver as there first pick Detroit is going to form a mob.

Matt Millen is dumb so they might but I'm guessing they'll either draft Calvin Johnson and trade down for him, or they'll make another stupid move and draft the overrated Brady Quinn. I don't see Peterson getting drafted until the mid-1st round since the Lions' most pressing need is not at RB...they need a QB, D-line, O-line, and a secondary

That would be a horrible move. They have Jones now, and they drafted Calhoun last year. They need a a franchise QB or the best O-Lineman available (Joe Thomas).

I don't think so. They need to start with either the defensive line or O-line. Teams build from the inside out starting with the trenches. Plus if they need a back which Jones isn't that bad their are a lot in free agency that are tempting (Turner,Rhodes) and in the second round their are some good backs too (Irons, Bush,Pittman)

Lord I hope not! He'd be walking in Sander's shadow! Another great running back out of an Oklahoma school to get run down by the Lions.

I hope not. I'd love to see him in Denver but barring a draft day deal that won't happen.
