My husband and my grown son. Unconditional love does not mean there won't be misunderstandings and disagreements from time to time. It is like the love is built on a rock rather than on sand. I don't think I understood unconditional love until it first was given to me by my husband.

Unconditional love means to have a love without limitations or expectations. I have unconditional love for my children. It comes with no expectations and I wish for nothing in return, I love them for the simple fact of their existence. I would like to say that I love my husband this way, however, ours, as with every relationship, does come with very specific expectations, but I do love him none the less. I think it would be hard for anyone to say that they have unconditional love for any person they are in a relationship. People outgrow eachother all the time, decide that that person doesn't fullfill their needs etc.

Yes, so far everyone agrees that it is for our children. Today being Valentine's Day though, it also applies to my husband of 30years! I have had unconditional love for my family pets, as well as my precious parents and brothers. Now I will include my daughter-in-law/son in-law and my best friend. It's a great thing to be loved, but even a greater thing to experience love for someone other that yourself.

Think about it. Do you truly think that there is such a thing as "unconditional love?" It is talked about in psychology classes, but think, in one situation, that love can be blown away. It has taken many years for this answer to be found. No books can really say.

Yes, I love my children unconditionally. I think I probably love most of my family unconditionally, but I am POSITIVE nothing could ever change my love for my children (and probably my spouse and parents too). Parent/Child love is pretty much unconditional. Loving others unconditionally is divine...

Yes, my child, my wife, mum, dad, and brothers and sisters.
The child I just love unconditionally cos she's just a little kid. Mum and dad, well enuf said. My wife, well she's just a normal woman and that should be enuf for any spouse. Brothers and sisters, well they're even more important than a wife- you can allways get a new spouse, but your bros and sis's, well, that's all you have of them and mum is too old to have more.

Yes, my pets, my children, my life partner & friends. I would always be there for any of them.
My right arm is theirs.
