You're too young to try to hang on to a guy who obviously doesn't care much about you. Why else would he leave you for a year? He is probably driving by your house either to catch you cheating (which you can be sure he is cheating on you), or to gloat that you don't have anyone else yet.

I don't think it would be wrong. People aren't robots... we don't switch off our feelings, and sometimes it can take awhile to let go of someone or something we have loved. I would send a simple and fairly direct message. Leave out flowery adjectives. Write what you need to write that will make YOU feel better. Write it, see if you want to send it, (maybe wait for awhile or read it to a friend), and then let it and him go. Put it in God's hands. See what happens - it is outside your control. This Valentine's Day, treat yourself to a good day, wear a favourite outfit, call a good friend, etc.. Don't have expectations about someone else might do. Instead, make some happy choices for yourself, where you are, today. All the best!
(PS I think A LOT of us can relate to the experience you have described, by the way.)

ex's are ex's for a reason and i think its best left that way.think about what it was that ended your relationship?emailing is not the way to tell someone special how you feel.its great that he worries about you,as it seems a frienship was salvaged from the relationship.the fact that you are doubting your feelings shows that your not sure if he's really what you want.id say dont waste anymore time on this guy.get on with your life.move forward.mr right is out there for you somewhere.good luck.

NEVER send an ex an e-mail (or make any contact) on Valentine's Day. If you really want to communicate with him, please wait a couple of weeks so it won't be so close to Valentine's Day.
When you do contact him, think carefully about what you say. Choose your words carefully and make sure you are not being desperate.
Good luck.

Just be sure it's because you miss him and not some Valentine's Day sentiment.
Start off casual, because if you spill all and he's not prepared for it, you could wind up in an awkward, not romantic situation.
Good Luck!!

IF YOU GUYS STILL TALK I THINK YOU SHOULD LET HIM KNOW HOW YOU FEEL? THAT WAY YOU TOO CAN FIND OUT WHAT HE FEELS? THEN AFTER THAT IT IS EITHER HIM OR YOU START TO LOOK FOR SOMEONE ELSE.
