I am currently a cingular customer, and with our family plan, I only have to pay for my texting. But I REALLY want the new LG Chocolate (the pink one, "strawberry") And am considering cancelling (or my brother could have my current phone) and switching to verizon... but is it worth the hassle?
I am not asking for your opinion on the PHONE, I want to know if you think verizon is better than cingular, worth switching to? It would cost me about $40 more a month since I'd be paying my entire bill myself.

CINGULAR is by far the better choice especially now that they have fully merged with at&t with new unity plans you can talk to over 100 million customers as mobile to mobile and they just got the contract with apple for the 3 yr exclusive on the i-phone which i have seen and it makes the chocolate look awful they will deliver 2 models around the beginning of april. Verizon bases alot of its coverage on partner agreements and always has the in network working where you never know if you will get charged more for the same thing you did a day before in the same place. verizon doesnt have rollover. there data network falls back onto a very slow worthless system with nothing in between like EDGE for cingular. also the fewest dropped calls and all phones are world phones where as sprint and verizon have very outdated networks that dont faal into world standards at all.

I went with the help of both agencies and presently artwork for sprint. between both, Verizon has a lot more desirable sensible shopper provider, telephones, and insurance aspects. yet with Cingular you get more desirable for the greenback. that's alot more cost-effective. I had Verizon 2 years in the past, a million month I went on vacation to the mountains and couldn't use my telephone for 5 days. I called verizon shopper provider, and they subtracted 15% off my bill. they're telephones are a lot more desirable more desirable sensible, case in point, the LG Voyager, has a larger passable cost than the riduclous iPhone. That telephone has been dealing with call backs ever because it replaced into placed on the marketplace. So the answer is verizon by technique of a few distance. wish I helped!

Well, I guess it just depends on where you live. I think the rates are pretty much the same, if not they're close, except Cingular has roll-over minutes, which is wonderful. But where I live, I have no service with Cingular. I just cancelled my T-Mobile service and am switching to Verizon. So yeah, if you wanna switch and can afford to, I say go ahead. I think Verizon is better.

cingular by far. verizon drops a TON of calls and cingular hardly ever does. and with cingular you can get a signal in places that you wouldnt get any w/verizon. plus cingular has better phones. but i would wait to switch services, COX is about to launch a cell service that will kill all other companies.

You should port your # to Verizon. They have the coolest phones. Although a bit pricey, it's still worth it. Cingular is still trying to figure out their name. AT&T?Cingular?
