It is truly the spirit in you. You have the right to choose weather you allow the Holy Spirit to make the right answers. The heart can also make the decisions, if you allow your spirit to make the right answers. Your brain, that works with the heart that works with the Holy Spirit can also make you to feel that you are forgiving. In other words, FORGIVE or your body will die.

Hey I read another one of your posts earlier. I'd say I hope you stop beating yourself up like this. I'm not a VIP, but I think that you are worthy of being forgiven. You couldn't have known any better than you did at the time. I hope you can get past things.
