I have Sims 2 4cd.when i go to install a language selection menu appears i select english and click next but than it comes insert cd 1.i am confused i have already put the cd 1.

There may be something wrong with your CD drive and so it is not reading the CD. Or, is it a copied CD? That may be the problem then!
Add in:
Hmm, ok... playing with a copied CD can be difficult sometimes. If it is not working, which is the case with you, then you have to download a patch for the game and stuff like that. I'm not really a computer geek, so I don't know how to do it unfortunately :-/ Do you have any friends who are good with computers? I'm sure they will be able to help you to do that. My friends used to do it for me, lol! Anyway, good luck!!

You must put the CD 1 when you will be asked to do that.Not before this or after.

Your cd drive may be malfunctioning. (mine does that)
Or, the disc you are using may be dirty. If so, you should clean it with a soft cloth.
