....because corporations are sending jobs and manufacturing over to third-world countries where wages are below our poverty level - but notice the CEO's don't accept third-world salaries for themselves! - will the US wake-up and be able to reverse this trend, or are we doomed to become the new third-world, while China and India "steal" are standard of living?

People do say globalizations do expand businesses and jobs, but in our country the middle class is being squized out. More and more wealthy are finding ways to make large profits using cheap labor. There's lot of wealth being shifted towards the ones who are rich already. The policy makers failed to recognize that in order for free trade to work for us other countries need to be wealthy as the US. They needed to put in some type of safe guard mechanism to protect American laborers and companies competing against highly subsidized companies in China and others. But they didn't. It's basically become a system where both rich and poor countries just exploiting each other's weaknesses for benefits to the rich and powerful.

I'm thinking something is bound to happen in the United States to wake ALL the people up. I don't know if it's better reporting on current events such as the current disasters happening in the US but it's looking rather gloomy for citizens of the US. Keep a watch on the melting snow and what kind of disasters will result from an act from mother nature, there will be nobody to blame, will those suffering through those disasters be treated like those poor people that went through Katrina? will the disaster fund be enough or will they use the money to fight a war, it's horrendous the amount of money spent on the war as opposed to helping the poor people of America, yet! the people of the US are allowing it to happen. New Orleans was hit by another destructive act by mother nature and spring hasn't even begun.
The errors the US is making in world affairs is what will be lead to it's destruction, nobody cares for anybody but their selfish self. You now see more and more countries speaking out against the US government, NOT accepting their policies towards a war that should NOT be. I've always been a firm believer, the harm you do to others comes back to haunt you with double vengeance. Too many lives are being lost, it must come to a stop. Be it by force of nature or force of the people it must stop. And let not the people blame GOD for such acts, as they are the perpetrators of their own greed and sins.
