Did anyone hear about the whole Oil thing with one of the Kennedy’s (I think maybe it was Ted) you know, the guy who gives oil to heat peoples houses? People who can't afford to heat their houses. He gets it from Venezuela, there, is a leader that mocks our president and speaks ill of our county yet still we get cheap oil from him.
**In the commercial they actually thank "Venezuela" for help of supplying oil.

I think that if a man has nothing to feed his family and steels a loaf of bread to feed them, then I will not judge him.
I feel the same way here. No one else will help the needy to get heat. I don’t see anyone else helping the poor.

What are your thoughts on this?

I think you need to check your facts a little more carefully.

Ted Kennedy never does anything to anyone without an ulterior motive. In this case he gets the "good press" for giving away oil. At the same time he is insulting our country and our president by having an association with the hate monger from Venezuela. If Ted really wanted to do good for the poor he could afford to buy the oil from somewhere else.

Helping out America's poor is clearly meant as a finger-poke in the eye of Bush. The oil comes compliments of Hugo Chavez of Venezuela. While I don't like Chavez and his nationalizing and ruining his country he is little threat to the US. It's nice some folks have an easier time keeping warm this winter.

I heard about Chavez offering cheap oil to poor people in the United States. Chavez is weird dude, but so far his ranting have targeted Bush administration(and their actions) almost exclusively. Hard to say if this guy is anti America or just anti-Bush. He does care for people in his country, but Chavez is grabing power every he can get and on his way to becoming some mad dictator. Castro might die soon, but we now have this Chavez guy becoming Castro like figure in South America. I'm sure he's really sticking it to us.

If he wants to get oil from them, that's the way it goes. I don't have to, and I don't. It's Citgo, right? That's the oil company that he runs I think. Anyway, Citgo has received a bad rap because of this so they are changing their name. I won't buy from the new named company, either.
