Has anyone ever had any problems with Burt's Bees lip balm? I woke up today and my upper lip was insanely swollen.. I've been using Burt's Bees and wasn't sure if it could be a reaction to this.

That is definately an allergy to something in the product. I would discontinue the use of that product immediately. If the swelling doesn't go away, I would seek out professional help. G'luck!

you are probably allergic to something in the product. It's most likely the reason that your lip was swollen, I have used Burt's Bees before and it really helped my lips. Also I never applied it in the nighttime but I think that may have done something to the lips. Because you have it on for a l0nger period of time rather than wiping it off later! Well, hope your lip gets better and that this really helps! Good Luck *~**eMmA**~*

I have not heard of a problem with Burt's Bees lip balm, but you can develop an allergic reaction to almost anything -- and at any time. Benadryl should help.

Good Luck!

I doubt it's the lip balm but you may have been bitten by something - probably a spider cause they bite at night. Keep an eye on it and if it isn't clearing up go to the doc. Any bit on your face can get infected.

Get onto the website and call them or email them. If you think you are having a serious reaction to something then you need to go to the ER.
