That is definately an allergy to something in the product. I would discontinue the use of that product immediately. If the swelling doesn't go away, I would seek out professional help. G'luck!

you are probably allergic to something in the product. It's most likely the reason that your lip was swollen, I have used Burt's Bees before and it really helped my lips. Also I never applied it in the nighttime but I think that may have done something to the lips. Because you have it on for a l0nger period of time rather than wiping it off later! I have not heard of a problem with Burt's Bees lip balm, but you can develop an allergic reaction to almost anything -- and at any time. Benadryl should help.

I doubt it's the lip balm but you may have been bitten by something - probably a spider cause they bite at night. Keep an eye on it and if it isn't clearing up go to the doc. Any bit on your face can get infected.
