The U.S. Department of Education is allowing and promoting Chinese students to intern in our public schools, allowing Chinese students to be be exchange students, and allowing our public school students to visit China and become exchange students there. Importing chickens should be the least of the U.S. worries.

China is a Communist country. Why would the U.S. be promoting and encouraging internships and exchange students? As a substitute teacher in a large public school system in the U.S., I can tell you someone is promoting China! There is even a Chinese school in the city where I live. Am I concerned? You bet I am! Is the State Department of Education in the state I live in concerned? Apparently not. My state sends teachers and students to China at least once a year to study. My state accepts Chinese students to live here, study here, and foster their culture and ideals here every year. Some schools are even teaching Mandarin!

The U.S. has sent thousands of troops to the Middle East, spent billions of dollars there; yet, we are allowing one of the, if not the, largest Communist countries, access to our resources--our education and our youth.

We underestimated the resolve of Japan, and they almost destroyed us. Will we now underestimate the Chinese?

Your questions is a good one. I haven't read the article you mention . I agree but the article may be true in view of the high price of meat now days. People are eating more chicken, The little I know about the importing of chicken and other live stock is that the U.S.will send inspectors to china like we do to other countries when we import the above.
