In development, there is always a group who will get marginalized - small independent shop owners will lose to the big mall enterprise or the environment will lose to the rise of industrial zones.

Development is not bad as long as we keep in mind our social responsibity. SR should be placed in the forefront of any development planning. We should always consider if development will benefit everyone rather than benefit only some.

economic development brings about pollution to the enviroment which is part of social responsibility. if economic development is causing a bigger income gap between the rich and poor, it can also be considered as a social responsibility.

development is the opposite of regression. with development you become responsible for the progress and take care of waht you have grown.
