How often do men show they're wives displays of affection per day? I mean, by sitting and cuddling, giving them a hug, telling them that they love them, etc.? Newlyweds do not count, ok? People that have been married ten years or more please. When is it enough?

Hun, i think just showing any affection. In a good way is nice. Ive been married 13 years and would love it if my husband would just give me a simple hug and kiss when he came home from work. Doesnt have to be much.

I will just say that in most instances it's always necessary regardless of how long you've been married. Some newlyweds (me) don't experience it nearly enough. It also depends on the wife...some wives aren't always needy and clingy...as long as they know that you love them and they don't have to do backwards flips in order for them to know that you love them is very gratifying. Yes a kiss when you get home is good, but even if not that, an email throughout the day or a card...there a number of ways I think to show affection...it doesn't always have to be physical...it's nice, but it shouldn't be the only thing that counts.

Each man is different. My dad wasn't "openly" affectionate with our mom that much, but I'm sure they cuddled or something when in their bedroom at night. It's not ever enough. Ever. Why? Because that is what helps keep the marriage strong. At a wedding several years ago, the grandpa of the groom shared how every day he would nibble on his wife's ear. Married many years. A display of affection for me, from my man, can also be his cooking a meal, doing the dishes, helping on some other task at home. Yes, the kissing, the cuddling is nice and also appreciated, but those "little things" that I just mentioned also is a way for my man to tell me he loves me. That's what my folks did. Dad helped Mom upon occasion. Take care..

Apparantly not enough or there wouldn't be that many divorces. A man AND a woman should show each other affection in some way everyday; even a little look, a touch; to tell each other you really care.

There's no such thing as enough or too much when it comes to affection.
Wives like to give and receive affection from their husbands and vise versa though it's usually lessen when couples have been married for years because of familiarity.

It's never enough. The small things are what count, you'll always have to show your wife affection. It's what she NEEDS. Just like you have NEEDS that she might not understand, but still helps you with. Just do it. Good luck.
