Hi! I was so intimidated I could be sitting in the vice principals office, my lower lip would tremble and tears would come into my eyes. I didn't feel any confidence at all, I felt little and small. Like they knew all and I knew nothing and had no strength or power. I had no confidence speaking to girls either - I knew nothing. Yeah, it wore off.
What I might have done is to have known I was very intelligent and could have added an important point of view - MINE! To stick to my truth and speak up. To know my life had validity and meaning.
You're way ahead of me and asking revealing question and changing your behavior. Be calm and peaceful about it.
.

I'm 27 and it feels like I was just where your at lol. But no I always thought that Adults thought they were better then me so I just didn't like them, I hated that they told me what to do, so I did eveything I was told not to do, and I am still paying for it, trust me it sucks. I alway felt angry because I felt like no one cared about me.

Yes. I think it's because you feel like no matter what you say or how mature you are, they are going to be thinking, "You're a kid! What do you know about anything?".
Don't let it scare you. Just be yourself. To many old people think they know everything, and they don't.

as an adult i can say we are no better than teens or children. don't be afraid to talk to adults just be yourself and know that it is a faze and will subside! soon you won't care about anything.
