If you like just hearing what other people are doing.....and be honest, I know I love hearing what other people are doing, but to wait around and linger for that means you are nosy. Also if you confront people about what you have only heard, means you are nosy, meaning that you don't have the time or patience to talk with that person to even find out what happened/they think about a matter is, you just like knowing about that person and there is nothing they can do to stop your knowing.
Nosiness stinks especially around neighbors or friends. You would not only betray their trust, but send out the message that no one can trust you about anything, which would maybe send you into a life of lonliness if people kept thinking that way about you for too long. I hate talking to nosy people because my opinion is going to get out the wrong way via that nosy person and hurt my relationships in some way......I never trust nosiness, I always insist on that person asking from the origin.

The best is when you know they're listening so you throw in some random statements just for the shock value
