What do you think, why do some people want to die? Is death necessary in our life? Why or why not? How can death change our life?
These are not homework question. These are discussion questions. I just want to know your opinions. I also want to know are these questions are appropiate to answer or should I change them. Yes, I made these questions from the book "THE GIVER". I don't know How did I do this? Just help me out by sharing your opinions. I just have to know that can we anser those question or cannot. Why? Because I don't have to answer them. My friends have to answer them. So don't worry about copying.

Some people want to die because their pain and suffering is just too much. The human psychie is a very fragile thing. Who is to say that someones suffering is bearable? Everyone gauges and feels suffering differently. What is unbearable to one may be silly or plain stupid to another. As for death being necessary the answer is yes. If someone close to you dies (either naturally, accidentally or takes their own life) if forces you to realize your own mortality. This can be absolutely terrifying to some. As the old saying goes there are two definates in the world "death and taxes". Death can change you so dramatically it's scary. It can force you to realize that grudges are not worth holding and that everything you hold dear can be gone in a split second. Often it causes you to immortalize someone, wether you choose to remember the good or the bad in that person, you still will remember them. Sometimes it causes you to try and live your life as fully as you can. Even if you only remember to do that for a day or for a lifetime everything in that span of time seems brilliant. Even the stupid mistakes you make you realize that it is life and life can be taken away in a split second. So you try to learn from every moment and treasure every second. That is just my own person opinon. I have seen death many times over, death of friends, death of family, and even thoughts of my own demise by my hand. The sad part about it is that I have learned these things at the age of 20. My life is not perfect, often it's not even good, but it is life. I get to see and speak to my remaining family and see my closest friends. Although some of my friends and family are not here I will remember them. Sometimes the good and sometimes the bad but I always know that I am here when they couldn't be and I try to live everyday because of it. Carpe Diem.

It would be better if your friend thought about these answers and gave HIS own opinions. It will help him synthesize what he has read.
