What exactly do you mean by vintage?? 'Cause there's this great boutique in LA called Stop Staring! It's a really expensive clothing line but the clothes are absolutely BEAUTIFUL. To me when you say vintage that is what I think of. But you may be referring to the 60s and 70s era while this type of clothes is 40s and 50s. If you are into the whole "rockabilly" or "pinup girl" this is the best clothing line to go with. There's also a place in Pasadena called Pin Up Girl Clothing. Or in LA there's a store called My Baby Jo. All excellent store. Good luck and happy shopping.

Just go to any yard sale in the trendier neighborhoods, especially the newly-monied people, and you'll find a gold mine of clothes. The noveau riche absolutely have to have the latest fashions and throw out the good stuff.

There are a couple of stores just east off of fairfax or you can go to Silverlake. There is also a store in Hollywood near the Hallywood Toy an dCostume store but your best bet would be to go to any Out of the Closet. There are many of them all over L.A.
Plus some of their proceeds go tto like AIDS foundations I think.
