He has a good chance. His only competition for the right handed part of a DH platoon is Jason Botts. I hope he does make it so we can see if all his homers were aided or not.

I think Sosa will make the team for several reasons. First he will be at home, since he started his career in Texas. Second, he should be used as the DH to take advantage of his offensive skills. Third, if he is in the excellent shape that they say he is and he can put aside the things that happened to him in the past (get his head together), then he should have no problem making the team. Sammy loves baseball and I think he will make an honest effort to show he has a few more good years left in him!

Sammy Sosa is pathetically trying to squeeze a last couple of years from baseball. He'd be much better off retiring and going back to the Dominican Republic and start a new career for himself either inside or outside of baseball.

I think he'll make it. Rangers need alot, + a drawing card can't hurt especially at the ML minimum salary or whatever Sosa's getting (can't be too much). Will he last the year? That's the bigger question.

Enough of Sammy Sosa. He had his day. Now he should just go away.

His last year in baseball with the Orioles, he didn't do much. There are very few players that lay off for a year and come back and have a spectacular year.( yes I know it has been done). I don't see anything coming of it.

I think he'll plan most the season in OKC with their AAA affiliate. I think he'll occationally be called up to DH or to fill in for an injury. Don't get overly exited about this.
