Let's look at history, slavery was abolished during Abe Lincoln's Presidency but if slavery was today and a runaway slave came to my door I would not turn them in and find a way to set them free.

The slavery issue in America is Dead. I don't know anyone who has been a slave or has owned one. I had nothing to do with it. This question has no merit other than to stir up controversy.
Let me ask you this. If it was against the law to harbor a Jew would you turn them in ?

Who the heck would want a slave??? I feel like a slave at my job and I get paid. I wouldn't have one, but would report someone who did...and I'd let the slave go.

this question is kind of like asking, if the law required you to beat bloody your family members and drop them by the side of the road, would you do it?
why do we think laws that violate justice, common sense, and human decency are useful? and why do people settle for degrading themselves through obedience to injustice?
