I do it for any lady, not just mine. Chivalry is NOT dead in America, at least in my book its not. My mother taught me to always do this. I also will hold a door for a guy, if he's entering behind me. Heck, sometimes I even hold it for him/her and THEN I enter, letting them go first. Just the way I was raised, I guess, to be nice and courteous to everyone.
:)
youre lucky to have such a nice guy in your life!!!

it really is continuously a well mannered gesture and that i do carry open a door for different women individuals to boot yet i visit understand if a outstanding searching guy does it.. thats' particular. there are a range of serious youthful little ones or adolecents obtainable who do this.. and also some adult males yet some do not have the manners in any respect they only imagine that's the time of emancipation she will be in a position to open the door for herself. i have self assurance a lot has to do with how someone replaced into delivered up.. if well mannered manners were an difficulty in the kinfolk a youthful guy will carry open a door and be well mannered and enable the female pass first yet when the dad and mom did not act as position fashions and not in any respect did that of their personal kinfolk and probably the daddy only got here homestead from artwork and sat down and not in any respect lifted a finger to assist out.. then you'll't blame the more youthful adult adult males of fathers like that or adolecents who strengthen up seeing only that.. then you'll't anticipate them to draw close more desirable sensible because dad and mom are the placement fashions in early age a minimum of to their little ones.. that's as a lot as them as an example them the right values and those who were provided that.. they're going to open the doorways and in the different case act as gents.. meaning they'd sturdy upbringing and they recognize it and they do it and do not anticipate thanks yet they a lot delight in to hearken to a thanks want numerous human beings people do when we do something that derserves the words ''thanks'' that is going for adult males and females individuals and definite it really is a outstanding feeling to all women individuals yet I delight in it only as a lot if a youthful woman does it...or a lady.. because I now and again open doorways and a lady shall we me carry the door open and says no longer one be conscious as if she expects this as a count for sure as if she replaced into the Queen and that i'm the servant so also some women individuals were delivered up with undesirable values .. and again their dad and mom did not instruct them why that's imporant to be well mannered to adult males and females individuals alike and why the words ''thanks or please'' do not kill yet somewhat provide a sturdy impact and make the guy who receives a '' thanks '' smile and performance a more desirable sensible day as a effect of an elementary ingredient as politeness xxx

I almost never do, I'll only hold the door if I get to it first - but usually I walk slower than my girlfriend so she opens the door before I get to it. She would be pissed if I went out of my way to open the doors for her because it would appear as if I don't think she's capable of opening a freaking door. I think its one of the most moronic standard practices in this world, how a man has to open the door for a woman. Why don't we just ask our black neighbor to go pick some cotton!

Many men can and will open whatever doors for the ladies. But does that mean they are all gentlemen? I suppose is what and how we men treat the ladies that shown that we are gentlemen, not just on basic manners we have.

That dear is how our generation was raised. You don't see that too often with the younger generations. They think something is owed to them and won't go that extra step for their ladies much less anyone else.

My boyfriend does :) But then again, so do I. I believe it should just be manners that everyone should have. Girls and Guys do it .. just .. sometimes, the guys get there first, and we consider that to be "Gentlemanly".
