I am the "DJ" for my high school students Valentines Dance. What type of music do 11th and 12th graders listen to these days? It is a mix school, of black, Hispanic, and white. Thanks to all for the help. You can just list most commonly listened to.

beyonce,mims,crime mob,dem franchize boys,fergie,ludacris,yong jeezy,ciara,justin timberlake,bow wow,lil wayne,pall wall,fat joe,jim jones,jay-z,kelis,nas and snoop dogg....many more just music thats hott right now...hip-hop and pop just mix songs up

I just going to tell what kind of people that sing 11th and 12th graders listen to: Beyonce, Jame Blunt, Janet Jackson, Ciara, 50 cent, Jennifer lopez, Justin Timberlake, Shakira, and Fergie.

I really do think it depends....What area is the school in? Does one race dominate the others..Do they get along? I mean you would have to kind of interact with them to see I think..Like go up to the school around lunch time to and just kind of survey how they interact with each other...Maybe even ask some of the kids....You shouldn't tell them who you are....I think it would help you out tremendously. I think you should play hip-hop, r & b, pop.....mix it up...maybe even mix up a songs with different beats..I am serious. You should play a little bit of everything if they kids say they like it all but if they mostly say hip hop or whatever then play that.
