A question was asked moments ago: if the user asked a fellow human for help instead of God, was it a sin?
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070213215647AAmirOQ
One of the answerers replied as follows:
Well God KNEW you needed help and sent that fellow human to assist you. You should thank Him.
What I'd like to know is... HOW does God "send" people to assist others? What is it that God does to "send" these helpers?

And please, DON'T tell me to "ask him". I'm asking you. Either give me an answer from YOU or don't bother responding.

I don't know.
Without getting too lala about it, I tend to believe we have angels who really do save us from our own absentmindedness.
When we miss being hit by a few inches. Babies have more angels than adults . But they show up when we need them. I think that is part of their job description... they just "know"... when they are needed..
God put men and angels together, so perhaps that is what you mean.....
As for her moral conundrum. Common sense.
As soon as the situation was resolved, I would give thanks to God.

lots of answers for you here,
first some people think there life is predetermined, which means god already made plans to send someone to help you.
it could also be dealing with the situation like a major natural disaster in the news. people who are religious and believe in helping the fellow man would say. "God would want us to help"
so they come to your aid.
3rd is guardian angels or just plain angels may have noticed the situation and figured it would be best to influence someone near by to head into your direction where they could be of assitance.
or God just personally was involved there and it was him that truely pulled you out of the sand.

All I know is that God knows exactly how to help each and every person, and sends them options, it could be a friend, a situation, whatever. The thing is, if that person will recognize the solution to the problem. Some people don't see it if its right in their face.

God directs people by His Spirit and according to His Will and Purpose. Many people are usually called by Him, but they do not listen or respond. Those who tend to listen to God will more than likely try to take up the slack of the burden which rightly belongs to others.
I know you do not like to hear it, but if you need to call the police, people are going to say "call 911" and that helps bring the police to you doesn't it? In like manner, praying to God can be like a call for help and could get you a fast, direct response.

Interesting answers. But since the Creator made the souls of all that was and will be. and we each have a soul which is a facet of the Creator. All things are connected. God just has to pick the closest person that is willing to help.

I beleive it all has to do with Faith and the human psych. HAve you ever been in a situation where you go by someone & you immediately feel that, that person needs something (u can possibly provide)? I think that is how God guides us to the path of one another...on other occasions its the human will He instills in you...You are in a "jam", and all of a sudden these bright ideas spark to you; now its up to you to use them (given typically you have to "fight" for those ideas)

Yes, He does. He gave you parents, siblings, friends, teachers, etc. He also sends people when you're in specific trouble. He also sends angels. He loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah!
