They always replace the "L's" with "R's", so it would be like:
"I'm so ronery, oh so ronery"

Because their native language does not use that sound...just as it would be difficult for you to make some of the sounds that are affiliated with other languages...sounds that are not used in your own language...

To answer your question, the Asians do not have "L" as we know it, in their vocabulary, although they can clearly say the "L" in their language. They probably wonder the same about us, but in a different way.

I think it would have to do more with phonetics than anything. If you are just taught vocab and sentence structure but not the proper way to pronounce words then that could develop.

Oh and I speak with many asians that are currently learning English at my school. I never have really noticed this problem.

Its the other way around, they can do if if they are rased in the US. In Asia they do not use the R in any way so its like you saying some stuff in Chinese, if you never said it it will be difficult.

I can wrire R. :-) and say it also, however i do speak bad mandarin and cantonese.

Ding, it's just because there not used to speaking English. You too might not pronounce your "R's" when you speak an asian word.

why can't Yankees pronounce their R's Like people from Boston and Jersey? Like instead of saying caRpet they say CApet.

Ive never noticed that, however I dont see that many asians. Im sure not all are like that.

isnt it the other way around? by the way im asian and i dont pronounce my L with R. i speak perfect ABC...most people who speak english cant even speak ABC well
