I'm currently studying at a cafe all night. When I have done this previously it caused me sever nausea and of course the feeling of being very cold because you are up in the middle of the night and tired. Are there ways to combat the feeling?. Is a lot of water all night a good idea?. I know that i'm not drinking any alcohol but coffee works in the same way in that it does cause dyhyration.
Anyways if anyone has any tips it would be most appreciated!
Thanks

You are doing yourself a disservice. Get 4 - 6 hrs sleep, then start refreshed with a cold shower (not too cold) and something substantial, like oatmeal, then coffee. Resume studying after this.

Avoid coffee as it brings you up, it will also make you crash or become more fatigued than you were BEFORE you drank the coffee. Now here is a tip that is EXTREMELY helpful. Pull the all nighter with a friend or something. You are far more likely to enjoy yourself and laugh more. What does this have to do with staying up all night? The more you laugh, the better you feel. A scientific research showed that just 10 minutes of hearty vigorous laughing, created the effect similar to 2 hours of sleep. I can tell you, I think they are on to something when they say this. I just pulled an all nighter last Thursday. My friend and I had a great time. We laughed, but we got all our stuff done. And guess what? I didn't feel that bad during the day. Good luck to you my friend. I hoped this helped.

Stand and stretch every 35-40 minutes, eat light foods like fruit, cheese and crackers. Stay well hydrated - lots of water and a little OJ or cranberry juice for the vitamin C (to warm the blood). I suffer insomnia so I study or read well into the night and sometimes go a couple of days but as long as I eat 6-8 mini meals and stay hydrated I can think clearly and feel OK. The stretching is really key too as it keep the blood from pooling uncomfortably in any one place. Good Luck!

Coffee and sugar. And drink an energy drink or two. If you feel cold, stay cold - it'll help you focus. If you have to pee, don't. If you start drifiting off, stick a pin in your arm or finger.
When you can, get at least 10 hours sleep. When you wake up, log on to Yahoo! Answers and ask "How can I better manage my time so that I don't have to do something stupid like staying up all night in a cafe studying?"
