There are also free safelists that will send out emails for you without you getting into trouble for spam. There are other free things.

Have you thought about pay per click programs? The two biggest, I think, are Yahoo! and Google

A few free resources – check out the sources box for links:

1) Create a blog pertaining to your field

2) Use Yahoo! Local & Yahoo! Groups – Be sure to read the TOS for each one!

3) Write articles pertaining to your field and/or expertise.

4) Advertise on Craiglist

Also, consider signing up for an affiliate program. These programs enable you to advertise on other's sites (your affiliates) and once a sale is made to you, your affiliates & the program are paid a commission.

depending on your budget

it's easy to make a website, it's not so easy getting visitors
i sell out of 4 websites
my stats break down like this

1 out of 100 visitors contacts us
4 out of 100 contacts buy something off out online catalog, not 4 out of 100 vistiors, out of 100 contacts.....

if you own your own biz, your best bet is to conceede, and pay someone else to do it, in the PPV format for example

another way, (this works great and saves cash)
lets say you sell gym shoes,,, you can hook up with sport websites and sites of the same genere and advertise with them, independent HIGH traffic sites will get you lots of sales... at a great price
